This video is from the semi-recent channel, EddieOliverSmith. I’m pretty sure I saw this guy at VidCon, and a portion of this video is all of his crazy adventures at VidCon. This video also features all of his best moments from videos he uploaded this year, so I thought it would be a perfect tease for the blog. He has some comedy hanging out in there, a pre & post vlog, and more. I can see this guy, with a little bit of time, becoming a strong presence in the YouTube community. Agree/disagree?

This video called “The Narrow Escape” by MyBigImagination was submitted to me by somebody who used the submit suggestions tab on the left sidebar. I would have to say “My big imagination” fits this video pretty well, because there had to of been a big imagination involved to create this video. It’s the Phantom of the Opera in a video style he calls “Frame-By-Frame,” due to the use of multiple picture frames and green screens used. He mentions in the description that it took 1 month to plan, 3 days to setup/shoot, and 28 hours to edit. Great work!

Just last week, another music video contest by Strawburry17 was completed, this time collaborating with the band HeIsWE. This video by MrJoshuaBB won 1st place from over 200 video responses submitted within the month. A video definitely worth sharing. The way the video was shot, the colors, and the storyline were all so perfect to match the song “All About Us” by HeIsWE. It deserved its #1 spot.

Now The Lonely Island has more of a presence on YouTube, but they are apart of the community. We all love their hilarious comedy-song music videos, and their latest music video was just too funny to pass up posting. This video that features Akon has a well deserved 5 million views in 2 days, and it will touch your…heart? Watch it if you haven’t yet!

Today (December 17th) and tomorrow (December 18th) are the official days for the Project4Awesome event on YouTube, an annual time when many people from the YouTube community post videos about a charity that they care about, and spam comment each other’s videos to take over the YouTube charts. It may just be the coolest event of the year. To watch P4A videos, just go to youtube.com, and you will see many of them all over the home page of the website.

ErikGambill just uploaded this video tonight, a cool video that I can tell he put a lot of hard work into. I like how he disoriented the larger face. Just a little warning…you’re only allowed one breath for the entire video.

Say hello to MitzandJuz. This guy makes fan-made music videos to a lot of today’s popular music, and he’s great at editing them! This is one of his more recent videos, I’ll put this here to give you a preview of his editing skills, but I recommend going to his channel and watching a few more of his videos!

If you don’t already know the great Strawburry17 (Meghan), she makes YouTube videos where she takes a song she likes and makes an awesome music video out of it. In many of her music videos, she increases the pitch level so she sounds like a cute little chipmunk. Yeah, you may have seen many “chipmunk” like music videos all over the internet, but Meghan really knows how to make it her own. This video has a unique feel to it, and it’s certainly adorable! She definitely knows what she’s doing.

ThatZak presents a good point in his latest vlog about the recent Facebook trend where one posts a cartoon character as their profile picture to spread awareness about child abuse. Do you agree or disagree with Zak’s call to action?

I know Justin Bieber’s song “Baby” is a little old for the internet world, but parodies don’t always need to be current when you’ve got a video as hilarious as this one. CamelCars made a parody about his asian mother. Definitely something that’s worth a replay.
